1st Place: Cancer Navigators- Rome, GA
Cancer Navigators provides free resources and services to cancer patients in NW Georgia and NE Alabama. Services include: transportation to treatment, food vouchers to local food banks, liquid nutrition to those struggling to eat, hope and healing through counseling, weekly support groups, retreats, massages, music therapy and acupressure,
as well as tangible goods such as wigs, hats, scarves, and medical supplies. CN has served over 1,900 cancer patients this year, and the value of services provided totals over $2.5 million. Cancer Navigators was nominated for the glassybaby baby grant by 2 women, who after receiving help as patients, became volunteers to help others.
2nd Place: 4 Paws For Ability- Xenia, OH
For 21 years, 4 Paws For Ability has enriched the lives of children and veterans throughout the country, by training and placing service dogs to meet their needs. For children with disabilities, the task trained service dogs provide increased independence for the child and their family. For veterans from recent conflicts, who have lost the use of their limbs or their hearing while in active combat, the dogs provide companionship and practical support. 4 Paws for Ability is also committed to educating the public to accept the use of service dogs in public places.
3rd Place: Blanchet House- Portland, OR
Blanchet House provides food, clothing and housing for people in need and has done so since 1952.
Free meals are served, three times a day, six days a week to anyone in Portland.
No questions asked.
Donated clothing, collected and sorted by volunteers, is available for guests during the meals. Additionally Blanchet House provides free transitional housing, with counseling and job training, for men wanting to build a new life from addiction and homelessness. Customers in Oregon told us about Blanchet House and the hope and healing they continue to provide.

Post a picture to facebook or instagram, and nominate a deserving nonprofit. In your post, tell us (in 200 words or less) why the non-profit you’re nominating deserves a little more light. Make sure to tag your post with #glassybabybabygrants
Send a copy of your nomination to
glassybaby white light fund will review all nominations and select the top-three posts each month. The top three will each receive a glassybaby baby grant.
1st place: $3,000
2nd place: $2,000
3rd place: $1,000
Proposals should be 200 words or less, and should describe:
1. How the organization’s work furthers the giving mission
2. An example of the organization’s impact
3. Your relationship to the organization
To be considered, nominations must be submitted to and have at least 3 shares and 20 likes. You may submit a proposal every month, provided that you follow all the steps each month.
